Gayle A. Huntress
Gayle A. Huntress lives on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere but it’s very much somewhere to her. The view of a lake and the surprise company of the occasional bald eagle and odd otter are very much conducive to the writing life. However, since the writing life is generally not conducive to paying rent and buying groceries, she also works as a platform specialist and manages a rural broadband network.
Gayle graduated from Hartwick College where she mostly studied science but should have paid attention to the fact that the writing and literature courses she took for “fun” really held her attention.
In 2014 Gayle published Beyond Words, a memoir about growing up in a small town in New England. She is currently seeking publication for her second book.
Beyond Words: A Memoir Story

It's an extraordinary narrative about what it means to rebuild a life after unimaginable loss and the astonishing process of transforming grief into joy. The voice of the narrator grows seamlessly throughout the pages in to illuminate unforgettable characters living through riveting events. It's a funny, poignant and moving memoir about growing up and coming home.
